I can’t recommend the Husqvarna Riding Experience in Portugal highly enough. I’ve been multiple times now, and it remains one of the very best riding experiences you can have.

The bikes are superb, the routes are absolutely brilliant and the scenery is spectacular. Whether you’re riding through the hills, forests or more technical terrain, every day is properly memorable and incredibly well organised.

But what really makes this place special is the people.

Richard has created something genuinely exceptional, and Antonio — the main guide and now a great friend — is simply brilliant. He knows the terrain inside out, looks after everyone and somehow manages to make every ride challenging, enjoyable and great fun. Helen is equally lovely and adds to the warmth and friendliness that makes the whole experience feel so much more personal than a normal riding holiday.

You arrive for the bikes and the riding, but you come back because of the people.

Considering the mega quality of the bikes, gear, the riding, the organisation and the overall experience, the value for money is outstanding. I’ve ridden bikes for many years and done plenty of different riding experiences, and this is right up there with the very best.
